My [Handbags] Portfolio

Writing incognito is such a freedom. Well not that I am a big time blogger, but with the current things I am facing in life, I am seeking for more relief by writing it out and I want to be free of judgement. This is not a season for blogs, but who cares? Here, I could write about anything I want.

Namely, my handbags collection currently. The love affair that has been going since I have been earning my own cash. The first one being a Guess small handbag that I bought with my part time teaching in tuition class money during university. And the grandest one, my Chanel Jumbo flap in GHW of my yesteryear. Bought because it is said that it is the ultimate classic bag, with the aim of curing myself from addiction.  But, I don't have the lifestyle to go with it! My life is not that glamorous, it is literally work, books, studies, going to see friends and family so where do I rock it?  Slaps forehead. You No Vivy.

I am definitely rethinking about my portfolio. I mean, handbags portfolio.

In the past two years, I have cleaned and organized four houses - my own condo, our double story house, my parents house and our house in the kampung. After all that sweat, tears and calories burnt, it is safe to declare that I am sort of a minimalist. I only keep what I use, and wear what I have, keeping to styles that works for me and sourcing my items in a sustainable way. I have donated bags of clothes to H&M and try to minimize buying things. I also buy preloved in Glampot or Carousell whenever I could which is a sustainable way of satisfying my love of handbags.

What. A. Relief.

Despite claiming myself a handbags lover, I only have a small collection, relative to a normal handbag lovers collection. I mean, 12 is a small collection, right? :p

Let's see whats in my portfolio.

An Anya Hindmarch tote in tan, an  Anya Hindmarch tricolor leather clutch, a gray no brand leather bag, an orange Longchamp Neo and a red Coach leather wristlet not pictured here.

Wow, nearly all my bags are British. Mulberry and Anya Hindmarch. And all in a safe colours. Maaaaybe, just maybe, I need a fun coloured bag. I am secretly eyeing a red Mulberry Bayswater, or a yellow Anya Hindmarch Belvedere bag. Of course, all preloved!

I tend to pick safe colours for bags, but different colors for purse.  My preference  in wallet selection is simple, make it coloured so that I don't have to spend my time digging around in my oh so full bag. Currently its a soft buttery leather purse in teal by Elle. See, me no bag snob. As long as its pretty, have a good quality and I love it, brand comes second.

Admittedly, I used to feel guilty about my bag purchase, either new or preloved but if I am using it on a regular basis and the bag makes it easy for me to look put together in a faster way, than its not a waste, its an ease! And I am financing it with my freelancing jobs, so it gives me a boost of motivation during those long nights of chasing deadlines.
